Is Quizlet Plus worth it?
It depends on what you use Quizlet for. Here's an honest answer, from someone who built a free alternative, including when Plus is the better choice.
Plus is probably worth it if you
- Study mostly on your phone and want Quizlet's app at its best.
- Use Match and practice tests a lot.
- Need textbook solutions for homework.
- Study other people's sets from Quizlet's huge library more than your own.
For the current price and what each plan includes, check Quizlet's own Plus page. It changes.
Plus probably isn't worth it if you
- Mainly want Learn mode. Multiple choice, then typing, until every card is mastered. That's free on Crammed, with no round limits.
- Study your own sets, or sets a classmate shared.
- Miss Gravity. Quizlet retired it. Crammed rebuilt it, free.
Try it before you pay
- Open your set on Quizlet, choose Print, and save it as a PDF.
- On Crammed, choose Import and drop in the PDF.
- Run a round of Learn. If it's all you needed, you've saved the subscription.
More detail: how to export your Quizlet sets, and how Crammed's Learn works.
What Crammed doesn't have yet. No phone app, though the site works on phones. No Match or Test. No textbook solutions. A much smaller library of other people's sets. If you need those today, Quizlet has them.
Questions
- Is Crammed really free?
- Yes. Learn, Flashcards, Gravity, importing and exporting are all free, and Learn is promised free for good. Studying asks for a free account, so your progress follows you between devices.
- Can I go back to Quizlet later?
- Yes. Every set on Crammed has a free download, with no account needed, and it opens in Quizlet's own import. See how Crammed compares to Quizlet.
